Be my eyes is an app that allows you to get sighted assistance when needed. They have recently added a new feature called be my AI, which allows you to take a picture and get a description of it. Then you can ask specific questions about that picture. Be my eyes is available on both Apple and android, and the be my AI feature is available on both platforms.

VO Starter.

VO Starter is an app for people who are looking to learn voiceover. The app will give you a step-by-step guide on how to use voiceover and all the available gestures. VO Starter is available on both iPhone and iPad.

Raise to Answer.

Raise to answer is an app and accessibility feature that will give you an easier way to answer phone calls. Once activate you just need to raise your phone to your ear, and it will answer your incoming phone call. Raise to answer is only available on android through the play store.

Voice Vista.

Voice vista is an app that replaces the popular soundscape app which was discontinued by Microsoft. The app uses 3D audio to give you a sense of your surroundings while navigating. It will also give you turn by turn directions and the ability to map a route by dropping beacons along your journey. Voice vista is available on apple devices.

Brok the Investigator.

Brok the investigator is a fun point and click beatemup game that is playable for the blind. Accessibility features include fully narrated menus and audio description. Brok the investigator is available to play on Nintendo switch, PC, playstation and xbox.

Forza Motorsport.

Forza motorsport is the first driving game that is playable for the blind. The accessibility features available include fully narrated menus, audio description for cut scenes, driving and braking assists, audio cues for the correct driving line, when to brake, approaching corner turns and the length of the turn. Forza motorsports is only available on Xbox.

Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy is the game that harry potter fans have been waiting for. Visit some of the iconic places in the harry potter universe in this action-adventure game. AT present the game is not playable for non-sighted players with the accessibility features more aimed at low vision gamers, which include menu narration, high contrast mode and unlockable navigation assistance. Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest chapter of the long running franchise and is the most accessible fighting game available to play. The accessibility features include fully narrated menus and tutorial hub, audio description for cut scenes and the characters special move and a range of audio cues including punching, blocking and how close you are to your opponent. Mortal Kombat 1 is available to play on Nintendo switch, PC, playstation and xbox.

Stories of Blossom.

Stories of blossom is a fun point and clikc interactive adventure game. Play as blossom as they recreate some of her grampa’s favourite stories. Some of the accessibility features include full menu narration and audio description. Stories of blossom is available to play on PC.

Google Pixel Tablet.

The pixel tablet is Google’s latest update of an android tablet and brings all the features from the pixel phone to a bigger screen.  Accessibility features available include a built-in screen reader call talkback, full onscreen magnification, braille support, the ability to invert the colours and live listen which will give live subtitles for all audio for the hard of hearing. The pixel tablet also includes a speaker dock which can charge the device and gives you a hands-free mode when docked.
