In Your Pocket Commands

In Your Pocket is the first mobile phone where all the functions of the phone can be controlled by your voice. If you would like to know more about the In Your Pocket phone, then please check out the review on our website here. Below is a list of the commands for In Your Pocket.

Talk Buttons.

In order to access the In Your Pocket with your voice you will need to press the talk button. The talk button is located at the bottom of the screen in a row of three buttons. Any of those buttons can be used as the talk button. If you are using a screen reader you can use the next line command to quickly navigate through.

Turning on and Off in Your Pocket.

To turn on the in your pocket press and hold the power button.

To turn off the in your pocket press and hold the power button or press the talk button and say power off.

To confirm power off press the talk button.

To cancel power off press the volume up button.

Making and Receiving phone Calls.

To make a call press the talk button and say call Graham.

 To cancel the call, press the power button.

 To enable loudspeaker mode, press the talk button.

To answer a call, press the talk button.

To reject the call, press the power button.

To hear your recent calls, press the talk button and say recent incoming calls.

To see your outgoing calls, press the talk button and say recent outgoing calls.

Sending and Receiving Texts.

To send a text press the talk button and say text graham.

Next press the talk button and say your message.

In your pocket will ask if you want to send the message to confirm press the talk button and say yes.

To read an incoming text press the talk button and say read message.

To see all your text messages, press the talk button and say messages.

To delete a text message, press the talk button and say delete once prompted after hearing a text message.

Adding Contacts.

To add a contact, press the talk button and say add contact.

In your pocket will ask to say the name and number of the contact.

Press the talk button and say the name and the number for the contact!

Once happy with the details press the talk button and say finish to save.

To get a list of your contacts press the talk button and say contacts.

Entertainment.

The In your pocket has a range of options for entertainment. These include The RNIB Talking books, newspapers and magazines along with internet radio and podcasts.

To get a list of books, newspapers, magazines, radio stations and podcasts, press the talk button and say list books/radio stations or what newspapers or magazines do you have.

When it comes to lists in your pocket, they will be presented in a list of five and numbered one to five. To select one of the options in the list press the talk button and say the relevant number for that option.

To get to the next or previous pages of that list press the talk button and say next for the next page or go back for the previous page.

Searching.

To search for a book, press the talk button and say search for books by Michael Connelly.

To search for a newspaper, press the talk button and say read the daily record.

To search for a magazine, press the talk button and say read braille music magazine.

To search for a radio station, press the talk button and say play radio Clyde 1.

To search for a podcast, press the talk button and say play the blind side podcast.

Jumping Chapters and Sections

To jump forward ten minutes of a book or podcast press the talk button and say jump forward ten.

To jump back ten minutes of a book or podcast press the talk button and say jump back ten.

To jump to the next chapter of a book press the talk button and say next chapter.

To go to the previous chapter of a book press the talk button and say previous chapter.

To jump to a specific section of a newspaper press the talk button and say read the sport section.

Changing the Speed.

To change the speed of a book, press the talk button and say speak fast, speak slow or speak normal.

To change the play back speed, press the talk button and say Play faster, play slow or play normal.

Other useful commands.

To cancel or stop a voice request press the talk button and say stop or cancel.

To get the time press the talk button and say what is the time.

To get the weather press the talk button and say what is the weather.

To get your location press the talk button and say where am I.

To access Be my Eyes press the talk button and say be my eyes.

To access the built-in magnifier, press the talk button and say magnifier.

To exit the magnifier, press the talk button.

To bring up the on-screen keyboard when entering text press the talk button and say keyboard.

To set up WIFI press the talk button and say configure WIFI.
